  • How do I join Cambridge Alumni of Northern CA? You can get on the mailing list by going to our home page and supplying your email address. You will be asked a couple of questions about your affiliation with Cambridge before being added to the list.
  • Is there a fee to join the Alumni organization? No, but we may charge for events to cover our running costs.
  • Is the Cambridge Alumni organization just for those with degrees from the University of Cambridge? We welcome Friends of Cambridge - these are people who may have taken summer courses, lectured or been employed at the University as well as spouses and families of alumni. They may also be donors or associated with similar institutions.
  • Do I have to live in the San Francisco Bay Area to be on the mailing list? The group is intended for people living in the Bay Area. There are a few exceptions, leaders of Cambridge Alumni groups in other regions or alumni who travel frequently to the Bay Area, for example.
  • What geographic region do your members come from? They are in Northern California - from Lake Tahoe, Davis, Monterey, Fresno, but mainly from the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Can US tax payers make a tax-deductible donation to the University of Cambridge? Yes, via Cambridge in America. You don't have to be an alumnus to donate (picture is of Betty and Gordon Moore Mathematics Library)!
  • Will American qualifications get me into Cambridge? See the entrance requirements in the university prospectuses.
