Una base muy importante del proyecto en San Francisco de Raymina es la participacion de la comunidad. Cada jueves, los diferentes grupos de trabajo se reunen con los que dirigen el proyecto y deciden que tareas hay que hacer durante la semana. Cincuenta personas de la comunidad seran capacitadas en los diferentes aspectos del negocio (energias renovables, lineas de productos, contabilidad, gerencia, sistemas), 20 familias se encargaran de los cuatros invernaderos que se construiran y se plantaran 15 hectareas. Se instalara una planta de produccion de queso, se construira dos hornos de ladrillos, se colocaran 20 cocinas mejoradas y se instalaran 20 termas de agua caliente. Ademas, se construiran y pondran en funcionamiento secadores solares y construiran 20 casas para recibir a turistas y el desarrollo de negocios. Every Thursday, the different work groups get togther with the project managers and decide which are the tasks for the week. Fifty people in the community will be trained in the different aspects of the enterprise (renewable energies, product lines, marketing, accounting, management, IT, etc.), 20 families will run the four greenhouses that will be built and 15 hectares will be planted. A cheese plant will be installed as well as 20 improved kitchens and 20 thermal water heaters. In addition, solar driers will be built and put into operation and 20 houses will be constructed to welcome tourists and for business development. If ever you need to buy something, chances are you'll find an entire street devoted to that product or industry. For example, in this photo you see eight different shops selling one product: solar water heaters. Price comparison consists of walking from one shop to the next and asking if they have the product and model you want, asking the price, then finally bargaining down the best offer. Often times the prices are just about the same, but one shop owner might be more flexible in bargaining or they might throw in something for free. Some examples of streets in Yichang include: computer street (computers, software and accessories), cell phone street, used phone street, pet store alley, tailor street, household remodeling supply street, tea alley, antique & polished rock alley, etc. It's like life is a big Wal-Mart with every street an aisle...but not really.
