Short Bio
I am a research fellow in the School of Information Systems, Singapore Management University. I am working with Dr. Jing Jiang on unsupervised information extraction in collaboration with the DSO National Laboratories. I am also a member of the Social Network Mining Research Group, working with Professor Ee-Peng Lim on trust mining in social networks.
I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2009, under the supervision of Dr. Stephen Chi-Fai Chan and Dr. Fu-Lai Chung.
My Ph.D. research focused on data and text mining techniques with
applications to collaborative filtering and sentiment analysis.
Research Interests
I am interested in data and text mining approaches to recommendation
and prediction problems involving user-generated content in general. I have been working on problems related to social network analysis, information extraction, sentiment analysis and collaborative-filtering-based recommender systems.
