Top franchises for 2011. Southern classic chicken franchise. Top Franchises For 2011
Day 99 - The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening I would've covered this game a lot earlier, but I figured it'd be more "relevant" to wait it out till it eventually came out on the Nintendo 3DS shop, and now finally it's here :). Link's Awakening is always going to secure a good seat in my gaming memories simply because the Legend of Zelda series is one of the best franchises in the entirety of video games (in my opinion), and Link's Awakening was my first exposure to the "Zelda" series. One year before a trip to Europe my mum said I could get a new game for my Game Boy from the Duty Free shop, and although I cant remember what it was that made this game jump off the shelf too me, I do know that it was one of the best decisions I made as a kid. Given my fondness as a child for things like platformers, racing games, and side scrolling action games...Link's Awakening really exposed me to a deep engrossing adventure, full of puzzles, vast exploration, and a virtual sense of adventure... and I'd like to think anybodies first exposure to the "Zelda" series should feel that same way. When looking at the Zelda series on a larger scale, Link's Awakening is quite an odd piece. It's not set in "Hyrule" (the usual setting for Zelda games), and you're not set out to do the usual Triforce gathering quest that the rest of the games will generally require you to do. As different as the story may be, it definitely hit the nail on the head for bringing the familiar top down Zelda style and gameplay that people had already grown immensely fond of, yet somehow managed to contain it all onto a Game Boy cartridge, and thus offering one of the best portable gaming experiences you could have asked for. I haven't played Link's Awakening in years personally, but I've been hoping to do so for a long time, and the recent re-release of Link's Awakening DX (the Game Boy Color enhanced version) onto the 3DS has definitely landed a big smile on my face and has instantly given a massive boost into my love for the 3DS console. Some of the finer specific memories I have for this game were things like the fact Chain Chomps from Mario made an appeance (called Bow Wows), plus the feather item that allowed you to jump (like in Super Mario Kart), and perhaps one of the biggest memories is the fact that you can actually steal from one of the stores, and in doing so you get referred to as "thief" throughout the game for doing so ^_^. To see Link's Awakening have a new leash of life and make itself more readily available to a whole new batch of gamers who've never experience it makes such a great addition to the Zelda offerings in 2011 to mark the 25th Anniversary of Zelda. You can probably imagine I'm also very hype for the 3D re-release of Ocarina of Time (see: Day 1 of this very photo album) on June 17th. Spider-Man Trilogy DSC 7051
The Spider-Man film series consists of superhero films based on the fictional Marvel Comics character of the same name. The rights to a motion picture based on Spider-Man were purchased in 1985 and moved through various production companies and studios, at one point having James Cameron to direct, before being secured by Sony Pictures Entertainment. Sony hired comic book fan Sam Raimi to direct the first three films. Through the films, Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) developed a relationship with his high school crush Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst), and as Spider-Man, he has battled the villains Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), New Goblin (James Franco), Sandman (Thomas Haden Church), and Venom (Topher Grace). The first three films, produced on a total budget of US$597 million, grossed nearly $2.5 billion worldwide. Each film set several box office records, with all three included in the top 20 highest-grossing domestic films as well as the top 30 highest-grossing worldwide films. Critics have given the first two films positive reviews, while the third film has received mainly mixed reviews. The series has been released on both Blu-ray and DVD. A fourth entry in the series was planned for release in in 2011; however, in 2010 the film was cancelled due to Raimi's withdrawal from the project. Sony announced that the franchise will in turn be rebooted with new director Marc Webb and a new cast. The reboot's intention was to have Peter Parker back to developing his abilities in high school, with the villain to be announced. It is scheduled to be released in 3-D in 2012. Andrew Garfield will play the role of Peter Parker.[1] Due to Garfield's age, it has been reported that the series will start with Parker as a college student.[2] Similar posts: emlak franchise pizza ranch franchise cb franchise systems hooters restaurant franchise 7 eleven franchise agreement sign o rama franchise franchise 500 entrepreneur magazine kfc franchise uk franchise info here |
