Parents,

Hello!  My name is Mrs. Candace Wakefield and I will be your child's 2nd grade teacher this year.  I feel very fortunate to have the chance to work at Corner School!  I am so excited to spend the year building on what your child has already learned here at Corner.  My goal is for you to feel certain that your child is in a classroom that is filled with love, support, learning, and success.

As a parent, I like to know about my child's teacher so I have decided to share some things about myself with you.  In 2002, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Samford University.  I started working at Corner in the fall of 2003.  I recently completed my master's degree in Educational Leadership at UAB.  I am married to Daniel Wakefield and we have three daughters, Avery (age 11), Marley (age 5), and Riley (8 months).
