The Council of  Albany (NY) Neighborhood Associations, commonly known as "CANA," is a nonpartisan federation of neighborhood associations and related organizations that was founded in 1976.  Subscribe to the CANA mailing list, by clicking here.   The upcoming meetings are as follows:  February 1, 2012, Mayor Jennings, State-of-the-City.  The December meeting minutes have been added here.  The January meeting minutes are available here.  A February 1 meeting agenda can be found here. Albany Police Department begins using Twitter to keep in touch with the people they protect. The draft report of the Capital Region Solid Waste Management Plan has been released and is posted here, along with Mike Kernan's response. Mike is one of  CANA's representatives to the Steering Committee. RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A FRANCHISE AGREEMENT WITH TIME WARNER CABLE has been added to the CANA web site here.
