Welcome to the Council of Albany Neighborhood Associations Web Site!

The Council of  Albany (NY) Neighborhood Associations, commonly known as "CANA," is a nonpartisan federation of neighborhood associations and related organizations that was founded in 1976.  Subscribe to the CANA mailing list, by clicking here
 
  • The upcoming meetings are as follows:
    • November 4, 2009 -    Sgt Dermot Whelan of the Albany Police Dept on the Albany Police Academy.   For an agenda, and the October 7 meeting minutes go to the meetings page.
    • December 2, 2009 - Albany City Budget,  Deputy Mayor - Phil Calderone,  Budget Director - Chris Hearley
  • CANA meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month, except in July and August, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the main branch of the Albany Public Library,  unless otherwise noted.
  • CANA dues are due by January 31, 2009: $25 for neighborhood associations; $10 for individuals.  Please go here for an application.
