Basic Skills Task Force (Fall 2007)Cañada College has convened a Basic Skills Task Force to address the College needs to improve access, success, retention, and persistence of students who come to the College with skills that are insufficient to fully participate in college level work. The role of this task force will be to evaluate the current practices at the College, identify strategies that will more completely address student need, and develop a plan that can be implemented. This work will be guided by the literature review completed by the team of researchers, faculty and administrators of the Center for Student Success and the Research and Planning Group for California Community Colleges.
