Daniel and Silvia Switzer

Dr. Switzer, pastor at Northgate Community Church, has taught children for twenty-three years, including thirteen years as a principal. He has coached soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, football, and track. Silvia has served as a Spanish teacher and an elementary school teacher. She has a tremendous gift of befriending children. Both Dan and Silvia feel called to motivate youth to face life with Biblical courage. 

Betsy Newman

Mrs. Betsy Newman is returning for her sixth year as our Chess Camp Director. A certified teacher, Mrs. Newman desires to help children to draw lessons from the game of chess and to apply those lessons to living for the Lord. She does an outstanding job of teaching children the game of chess through multiple avenues, including the use of computer technology.

 In addition, Mrs. Newman is starting our Adventure Nature Program. She has received the Wilderness Awareness School certification in the Art of Mentoring. She is also certified as a Wilderness First Aid Provider in addition to having Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
