Podcast script: The Experience It was 5 am and already time to wake up and put on our shirts. We had spent all day yesterday shopping around for shirts and supplies to make ourselves stand out in the crowd of 300 seniors. We finally found a range of sizes that would fit each of us at Michael’s. We called everyone right then and there in the store and asked for their sizes. We bought the shirts and then began to look for something to write on them with. We found gold glue and glitter on one of the aisles, and decided to switch the shirts to black so that the writing would stand out. We bought all of the supplies and then had to decide what to spell. After some time the only thing we could spell with seven people was Oh Nine. We put a heart between the two words to make use of the seventh person. We made our way to Starbucks to make sure we were all awake and we did not get there too early because we were threatened not to arrive before 6am. We got our drinks and headed to the school. There were already two groups there and just a little bit of room left in the front row. We ran as quickly as possible and shoved our way into the last spot in the front row. Almost two hours later Marcy Dugan showed up to take our picture. Our seating made our shirts the most visible out of the entire class; getting up that early was worth it! |
