Little Rock
An old fountain in a small park near the Pulaski County Courthouse, in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. This old park is crammed into a small area between the courthouse and Second, Markham and Broadway. It's a nice little park, but I've only taken pictures here once before, one time when it was cold enough that the fountain had frozen into a big block of ice. The main reason you don't see pictures from here is that this park is a popular spot for homeless people. I guess its hard to set up for a shot when there is someone trying to sleep on a bench a few feet away. But that night the park was empty...
Little Rock and Gustav
Downtown Little Rock, under heavy rains last Wednesday night from the remnants of Hurrican Gustav. The storm would dump more than a few inches of rain over the state, causing some flooding. The waterfall here is from a drainage pipe dumping water into the river....
