Maton

The Maton is a French Bakelite camera, made by Multipurpose Portable Cameras Ltd in 1930, Although it looks a little like a cine camera, it is a still camera that took 24 exposures on positive paper-baked film, each one 24 x 30mm. A handle on the side advanced the film and fired the shutter as it was turned, so pictures could be taken quickly in sequence. Once developed, the film could be loaded back into the camera which, with the attachment of a special light source, then became a projector.
