"Friendly Faces in New Places"

Dear Newcomers,

Since 1997, Camden Newcomers' Club, of St. Marys, located in Camden County, Georgia, has welcomed women from all over the world.  Our objective is to provide opportunities to foster friendships for life by offering social activities in a relaxed atmosphere.  From September through May, our Club meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month, where members and guests may enjoy programs ranging from informative speakers to fashion shows.  Club members participate in excursions to theaters, luncheons, trips to shopping venues, home and garden tours, visits to historic landmarks and regularly scheduled couples mixers.  Social activities such as Bridge, Dominoes and Mah Jongg games are also regularly scheduled.  Each holiday season, Newcomers' selects a charity to benefit less fortunate children of the local community.

This fall, our very own first Hay Days scarecrows (the "Snow 'Crows") were displayed in Downtown St. Marys.  Fun events such as family barbeques, and Low Country Boils have been added to our list of social activities this year.

Our membership continues to grow, with 20 new members having joined so far this year.

Without our dedicated and talented volunteers, the success of Newcomers would be impossible.  Our heartfelt thanks to those who have tirelessly donated their time and efforts to the benefit of our Club.
