The Cambridgeshire Choral Society gives the opportunity for amateur singers from all parts of Cambridgeshire to take part in the performance of major choral works under a professional conductor with professional soloists and a full orchestra in prestigious venues such as King's College Chapel, Ely Cathedral or the West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge. The Society uniquely comprises a number of smaller choirs that meet on a weekly basis for rehearsal under the guidance of a professional musician. These choirs join together with "Associate Members" for combined rehearsals with the Principal Conductor on several Saturdays throughout the season. Details of our concerts, rehearsals, history and conductors may be found by following the links on the left of each page.
Our first concert this year, Britten's "St Nicolas" and Vaughan Williams' "Five Mystical Songs" took place on Jan 28th 2012. The next concert is on March 31st 2012 at Ely Cathedral when "The Dream of Gerontius" will be performed with the Ely Choral Society. Page visits since Nov 7th 2011
