FAQ's

Questions and Answers

Things You Just Gotta Know

1. Question:How long does it take to camber cut a set (4) of Pro cut ties?  How long do they typically last?
Answer: If I mount them and dismount them, it takes me about 4-4 ½ hours to camber cut a Pro set of 4 tires. Typically, I see a Pro set last from 3-5 races

2. Question: What if I want a tire camber cut that is not as aggressive as a Pro cut?
Answer: We also cut an average and semi pro cut - read the section called Tire Cutting Process. I wanted to add….that in the 2008-2009 season, a significantly large number of customers ordered Pro cut tires and found major performance improvements and better lap times.  Bottom line,.. I will camber cut the tires any way you want them cut.

3. Question: Do I need to mount my tires on the rim I race before you cut them?
Answer: No, not necessarily – I have purchased brand new Bassett wheels that I mount tires on to cut them. That way I know that the wheel is true and round
.

4. Question: Do I purchase tires from you?
Answer: No - you purchase the tires and pay the cutting fee ($25 per tire) from Leary Racing Products at 1-303-922-4227

5. Question: What if I have purchased new tires from someone other than Leary Racing Products, will you still camber cut them?
Answer: Sure! Call me and make arrangements to drop them off! Dwarf car guys drop them off all the time.

6. Question: Will you camber cut used Legends or Dwarf tires?
Answer: Nope! It is just too hard on my equipment and often damages the expensive cutting blade.

7. Question: Can you tell me what angle to cut the tires at?
Answer: Nope – the angles and methodology are proprietary!

8. Question: Do you cut all four tires at the same angles?
Answer: No! Left side tire are cut differently that right side tires - 4 tires and 4 different camber cuts – the angles and methodology are proprietary!

9. Question: Can I purchase just right side tires only?
Answer: Sure, allot of drivers do! Left side tires typically last longer than right side tires. Just make sure that the left side tires do not have more than 12 -15 races on them.

10. Question: What is the best way to break-in a set of tires?
Answer: Read the section called Tire Cutting Process. Bottom-line – all new tires need some break-in period and heat cycled to reach maximum performan
