Welcome to Kindergarten! I consider it a privilege and an awesome responsibility to teach your child this year. My prayer is that each child will grow in the knowledge of our Lord as they continue to grow academically, socially, emotionally and physically.
I grew up in Pauma Valley and attended Fallbrook High School and then earned my BA at the University of Colorado (Go Buffs!). I received my Masters of Education from Fresno Pacific University.
This is my 10th year of teaching. I began my teaching career in the Poway Unified School District. There I taught kindergarten, second grade and third grade, During my ninth year of teaching, God blessed my husband Michael and I with our first son, Matthew, who is now a freshman at Calvin. I was fortunate to be able to stay home for the next fourteen years. God added two more sons, James, now a seventh grader and Stephen, currently a fifth grader, to our family. All of the boys began their schooling at Calvin. I began to substitute teach at Calvin in 2002. Last year I shared a contract in Second grade. What a gift to be able to teach at the same school where our boys attend.
My husband, Michael, is an Administrative Captain for the Orange County Fire Authority. We have been married for 18 years and are members of Valley Center Community Church.
