The event website is: www.sdyc.org/jrolympics. Invited classes are 29er, C420, CFJ, Laser, and Radial. This is the Area J qualifier for the Jr. Championships in the Radial and C420 classes. We will not accept requests for additional classes, these are the fleets SCYYRA has asked us to host and these are the fleets that we are planning on. This is an ocean regatta and a great first time CFJ, Radial, C420 regatta, it is not an appropriate regatta for prams. Class membership is required in the 29er, laser, radial and CFJ fleets. Memberships for the 29er, laser and radial will be checked as you complete online registration, the CFJ class will verify that at least 1 person in the boat is a current class member and we will notify teams that are not current.

We all know that the OPEN OCEAN and LONG TOWS are not an issue for OPTIMIST top sailors, They just do not want to be HONEST and say they are not prepared to host Optimist at this time. Please feel free to argue with SCYYRA and SDYC all you want to ... we are all going to TEXAS RACE WEEK and NATIONALS INSTEAD where they are able to manage all the fleets and more...500+ optis are welcome to attend. Just the weather will not be as nice as San Diego that is for sure, Ya'All welcome ya hear?
Sound like people have been bugging her about our fleet well good job because next year they will not be able to ignore us but putting it on top of the NATIONALS OPTI EVENT is sort of impossible - remember lots of sailing in KEMAH just get down there as often as you can before you get into the above fleets and learn short chop hot weather drills..
