9/27/08: ![]() Riley's mom came today to read a great Halloween story. It was called, The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything. It was a story about a lady that wasn't afraid of anything until one autumn day she hears a CLOMP, CLOMP, CLOMP. "I'm not afraid of you" she says, until the noises keep coming and coming and getting louder and louder. The little old lady that thought she wasn't afraid of anything, was actually scared. Until she uses her head to come up with a wonderful idea and everything comes out okay in the end. We can't wait to see who next week's reader is!
10/6/08:
Have you ever seen a grouchy ladybug? Well, we meet one in our story today that Chloe's mom shared. Eric Carle's Grouchy Ladybug is a wonderful story. We learned how to tell time and that ladybugs eat aphids. We even had a taste of aphids our selves (they were actually raisins). And we made ladybug clocks that we took home so we could practice telling time. Wonder what is in store for next week?
