Meet Mrs. Hurst

Hi! My name is Callie Hurst.  I was born and raised in Seneca, South Carolina and have wanted to be a teacher ever since I can remember.  I used to have my very own classroom set up in the basement of my house.  I played school everyday.  I knew I wanted to teach children all of my life.  I am one of three children in my family.  I have an older brother who is also a teacher in North Carolina.  He teaches Ag Education in High School in Mars Hill.  I have a younger sister who is in the 9th grade.  She is involved in competitive dance, the freshman class treasurer and loves to swim at the neighborhood pool.

Go Tigers! I have always been a Clemson Tiger Fan.  I grew up right down the road and always went to football games growing up.  I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Clemson University in May of 2006 in Elementary Education.

Soon after graduating I started teaching 2nd grade at the elementary school where I went to school.  During my first year teaching I was also making plans for my wedding.  That following year I married my college sweet heart in June.  We lived in Seneca for 6 months before moving to Raleigh.
