The word 'Callalloo' originates in the cosmopolitan two-island nation of Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies. It is a dish made of several ingredients: dasheen leaves, crab meat, scallions, thyme, onion, garlic (optional) salted beef (optional) and okra, boiled together with salt and hot pepper, producing a uniquely delectable dish of blended flavors that can be served over steaming boiled basmati rice, or rice pilaf. Callalloo Express TV Show was so named by the show's host/producer a native of Trinidad, due to the similarities to the Callalloo dish to draw from a vast array of contributing components, and deliver a derived blend of programming that distinguishes itself by the variety and richness of content that is entertaining and educational to viewers.
Callalloo Relationships Radio Show is an extension of the TV show.
