What about confidentiality?
The
CAIP lab takes confidentiality very seriously. Our team will make every
effort to protect the rights and personal information of all
participants. We also take strict precautions in protecting your data and
making sure that it is kept secure. First, all subjects are identified
solely by a unique ID #, and your name and private information is NOT tied to
or recorded along with this number in any instance. Secondly, all data
materials are stored in password protected computers to which only members of
the staff have access. Furthermore, all electronics and paper data is
kept under lock and key. Also, the computer in which we save video and
audio data is not connected to the internet. Lastly, all doors in the
CAIP lab are locked every day and protected by a state-of-the art security
alarm system. Only CAIP research assistants and other authorized
individuals have access to data and video and audio material. Our staff
is highly trained and knowledgeable of our confidentiality protections.
Your identity and that of your child will not be revealed in any publication or
presentation of the results of this research. Furthermore, once the study
is completed, the data and videotapes will be stored in a secure location for
future research purposes. Participation in any of our studies is
completely voluntary. All participants have the right to change their
mind and opt to cease participation in the study at any time.

ability to accommodate to your and your child's availability.

I have other children, can I bring them?

you and your undivided attention. However, if you are unable to make
other arrangements and must bring other children, we will try to accommodate
