| CÆLICOLA CHOIR is a choral group based in Bandung. Our main goal is to serve The Lord by providing beautiful songs at Masses. We are unique in the way that we mainly sing songs from the book called "Buku Biru," which contains songs created by talented musicians from ILSKI, and traditional songs from the religious order of Ordo Sanctae Crucis (OSC). Songs in "Buku Biru" are songs , while still "liturgically correct," designed to fit with today's young men's musical taste. That's why we use the Annunciation Chapel, which is the default chapel for the "Gereja Mahasiswa" ("Student's Church", abbreviated GEMA) as our home base and serve on every 4th Sunday of the month. Beside that, we also sing at other occasions such as wedding masses, formal dedication of a new house, even requiem masses. Again, apart from the usual songs other choirs used to sing, we have our own list of 'custom' songs you might want to choose. CÆLICOLA CHOIR is widely known as the "young man's choir" - therefore, our membership is described as "open for every young person." It is important to note that the word "young" does not refer to age, but to the spirit. Everybody with young spirit is welcomed. We openly admit new members regardless of their singing skills; the main thing we are concerned about is each member's commitment. The choral exercise is held every Wednesday (starting at 1900 hrs) and Saturday (starting at 1800 hrs) at Annunciation Chapel, Jl. Sultan Agung No.2 Bandung. Among our recent events are: - Participant in the 3/4 Centuries of Bishopric of Bandung Choral Contest - Guest Choir of the Liturgy Course, Pratista Monastery, Bandung, 2007 - Participant in the 2nd Festival of Praise, Bandung, November 16th and 18th 2007 - Part of the Joint Choir at The Bishop Of Bandung's Ordination Mass, July 19th 2008 - Guest Choir at the Bandung Choral Community Concert, September 20th 2008 We are now working on our first Concert, which takes the theme of "Mother Mary - Mater Amabilis" and will be held on October the 18th at Annunciation Chapel, Jl.
