As I watch the magnolias bloom in the spring and wither in the fall, I am now prone to think more and more about lifecycles. The plants get so many chances it seems, but us humans get one, in a sense. Recently, as I have considered my personal lifecycle, I have measured it mentally into two categories: unspoken words and spoken words. In retrospect, it seems that I have deep regrets for both. As for unspoken words, I have lost people so dear to me to early deaths, including my mother (when I was only 9), my college roommates who were like brothers, and others, and I had so many unspoken words I wished I could have said that I still have poignant imaginary conversations with those deceased family members and friends to this day. As for spoken words, the sad irony is that I have so many situations where my spoken words turned out to be misspoken words that caused hurt to those I love that I try to recreate those discussions as well, but the sad truth is a misspoken word can't be unspoken. In the end, I think I would like to be remembered something like this magnolia bloom. White on the top (my hair is moving from blonde to gray to silver and likely to white) but green and alive throughout, trying to make the best out of every moment of my life. And then when the fall of my life comes and I wither, that I wither with few regrets, knowing that even when my life ends on this earth, eternal spring is just a moment away. #231 in Explore on May 7, 2009.

ITIL Lifecycle model version 3. The product life cycle goes through multiple phases, involves many professional disciplines, and requires many skills, tools and processes. Product life cycle (PLC) has to do with the life of a product in the market with respect to business/commercial costs and sales measures; whereas product life cycle management (PLM) has more to do with managing descriptions and properties of a product through its development and useful life, mainly from a business/engineering point of view.
