The State Board of Education approved the revised Social Studies Curriculum Framework documents for grades K-8 and high school courses on February 12, 2007. The frameworks are now posted on the Arkansas Department of Education website. Additional revisions were made to the 7th and 8th grade framework documents.  These documents supersede previous revisions. Beginning in the 2007-2008 school year, all instruction in the content areas of social studies shall be aligned with the appropriate framework. (Commissioner's Memo)
