These athletes will be working very hard to put together a routine that will not only be performed at local level competitions, but at the national level as well.  With practices starting in August, we are preparing to perform exhibitions at five competitions within South Carolina and competitions in Atlanta and Charlotte.  We also plan compete at the SOSC State Cheerleading Championship in Columbia. 

In addition to all the hard work these athletes will put into their routine, they as well as their families face the challenge of raising the money for travel, hotel costs, food, uniform costs, and participation fees.  Uniforms are approximately $125 per person, and yearly participation fees are around $200 per person.  As a group, we plan to work hard to pay for these costs out of pocket and through fundraising; however, we may still need some a little extra help from businesses in the Tri-County Area. 

Our squad is comprised of mostly Special Olympics athletes, and we do attend the SOSC State Cheer Championship; however, please note that this squad is not solely affiliated with Special Olympics.  Any contribution your company is able to make will be greatly appreciated, and a receipt will be available for purposes of tax deduction.
