Getting to know someone over the internet is just like taking a journey.
The question we must ask ourselves is: “Are we willing to take the time to go on this journey?”
 
It might seem difficult without  Tone Of Voice and Body Language.  But then again,
sending an internet message is pretty much like writing a letter to a Pen Pal.         

Have you ever noticed how some cannot communicate effectively in chatrooms?      
This is due to a number of reasons:
* Poor spelling and not knowing how to use the question mark key when asking a question. 
* New to the internet / new to computers / unsure how to express themselves CLEARLY with words,
punctuation marks and emoticons. 
* Lack of concentration - due to multitasking and having too many conversations going on, simultaneously.         
 
Someone once asked me, after reading the above paragraph, if I had meant: emotions.
My answer was: “An emotion is a feeling. _ An emoticon [Ee-mo-tee-kon] is a smiley face.”

It would be wonderful if everyone on the internet was truthful with each other.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to locate the honest, the trustworthy and the reliable ones, for many have
become influenced by the "Internet Mentality Of Chatrooms", which is:  not to state their real names
nor their real locations; but simply to engage in worthless disputes and tell lies to one another in a
chatroom / forum.

Yes, I have encountered the rude, the obnoxious, the cowardly and the nasty ones in chatrooms, too.
 
Furthermore, we live in a world where only some refer to themselves as 'Ladies' or 'Gentlemen'. 
Instead, it's  bi-female;  gay male;  swinging couples, etc.
This in itself, clearly shows just how crooked and perverted the world has become. _ Yes, I did say crooked,
because the opposite of  straight  is crooked.

There is always the risk of young children sitting at their parents' computers and reading everything on the computer screen.

 As for me, I would like to have Christian friends between the ages of 25 - 75 who understand these words:
 Reliable; Honor; Responsibility; Dependable; Commitment; Punctual; Diligence; Trustworthy.

 Choosing friends of good character AND personality isn't always easy, over the internet.
 The way a person thinks, will determine his / her behavior; character and personality.

 Let's consider these:
 1. If a person thinks that God doesn't exist, how could he / she possibly believe that  microwave signals;
 radio & TV signals and oxygen in the atmosphere are actually REAL?...since all these elements are invisible.
 2. If a person thinks that it is good to overspend on his / her credit card, isn't he / she simply being
 irresponsible? 
 3. If someone says: " I will E-mail you tonight " or " I'll call you tomorrow ", but fails to do so...can that
 person be considered: dependable and trustworthy?...or someone who simply makes false promises?

` _ No one on this planet is perfect. . .but we CAN try to get things done right, can't we?_

 

 Remember:
Friendship must be based upon trust.

If there is no trust, there can be no friendship.
