Martin A. Oberg


School and Research:

I am a PhD student studying linguistics at UBC in Vancouver, British Columbia.  My research interests include intonation and  semantics.  I am currently studying the intonation system of St'at'imcets.

My undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Washington, where I obtained a B.A. in linguistics, and a B.S. in Psychology.  My psychology honors thesis was on the face inversion effect.  The abstract for the paper I co-authored can be found here.  

Personal: 

I enjoy rock climbing, slacklining, playing go, and playing guitar.
