http://cinch.blogtalkradio.com/bwood20 SCRIPT: This is Benito wood and this is my podcast for dr. gen's ap language and composition Throughout high school i have been playing basketball and this year was obviously supposed to be my last. However, I was not able to play because I had to have eye surgery for something called strabismus. Basically my eyes were unaligned and I needed to get them straightened. I wouldn't have been able to play basketball again for around two months, after the season was over. Because I still wanted to be a part of the team, I became the statistician for varsity basketball. Even though it was not as fun as playing, I found that I enjoy taking stats and that I am pretty good at it. I was also able to attend every game except the tournament I missed that occured the day before, during, and the day after my surgery. I was also able to attend the San Luis Obispo tournament, which was probably best one because we were able to stay for the weekend. I was even acknowledged during senior night and that was a good feeling because it mostly for the players. Being the statistician, I learned responsibility and how to be reliable because I was needed for every game. |
