Dogs that have sustained an injury to their ACL or that have had surgery to stabilize the knee joint are excellent candidates for physical rehabilitation. Gone are the days of crating a beloved pet for 8 weeks or longer after surgery. With progressive advances in physical rehabilitation and veterinary medicine we can now bring our canine friends back to function more quickly and more safely. Physical rehabilitation will improve the outcome of the surgery, limit both emotional and physical stresses which occur during the healing process and reduce the risk of re-injury. We are pleased to offer several options for physical rehabilitation for your post-op or ACL injured canine friend. Patients must have been diagnosed and referred for physical rehabilitation to begin a program. |
