Red linen dress Had to crouch a bit for this shot. Sorry, I didn't mean to look emo, but as you can see I was already standing with my back against the wall. My first sewing project in almost 16 years! When I was little, I had one of these children's sewing machines. Then, I didn't have any at all which is the simple reason for my long break from sewing. I am very happy I picked it up again! I remember a lot of theory, but urgently need more practice. My sewing instructor angers me a bit. I wanted to shorten this dress, because I myself am a short person. She said it wasn't necessary. Now it's almost too long and a bit baggy in the waist. Well, my fault for listening. 131a
Classic black dress with fabulous design details and of course exquisite construction by Evan- Picone. Vintage 70s, it is just a classic and so trendy today! No fiber, the fabric looks and feels like a soft linen. the dress features a round neckline with just a hint of nip at the waist, its a sheath/shift style and long. The left side has a faux placket and the cutest buttons ever! Looking like carved ivory, there are little seashells and fish, even a sea horse all down the side, ending approximately below the knee, and creating a sexy 19" split.
