037/365, Feb6,2009: F is for Frantic
037/365 - F is for Frantic for FAF and Extreme Story Telling for TOTW So I'm working downstairs in the office, it's about 4:30pm. Danielle is upstairs with the 3 boys and Spencer, one of Cole's JK classmates that we watch after school on the days Cole has JK. I hear crying, nothing too unusual with 3 little guys to be honest, they are always 'disagreeing' about something. But then Spencer comes into my office and tells me (at least as I remember it ) the following: "Cole and I didn't do anything, but Ty did a backflip off one of the kitchen chairs and cut his eye with the scissors. Danielle sent me down for you" um, ya.. Frantic was an understatement. I tear upstairs and as it turns out, he did gash his nose open (but on the edge of the chair we believe) and no scissors were involved, except that they were playing with some playdough scissors shortly before it happened.. and oh ya.. he fell, no backflip ;-) Long story short, bleeding stopped and we've seen enough cuts, bumps and bruises to know stitches were not needed, so a Bandaid and an Advil later, this is Ty. He's a bit of a bruiser, but he needs to learn to be a bit more careful. Camera: Canon EOS 40D Exposure: 0.01 sec (1/100) Aperture: f/1.2 Focal Length: 50 mm Exposure: +0.60 ISO Speed: 800 Just a snapshot (not the best) in natural light today.

Spencer Myer
Spencer Myer, pianist Had the pleasure of photographing Spencer Myer, one of America's most rapidly-rising pianists. An impromptu shoot, I only had only one flash, one reflector, and no modifiers on me...so I had to make the most of it. Strobist: EX580ii @1/4 zoomed to 70mm behind Spencer on music stand (!) fired by PCB CyberSync, with assistant holding 43-inch silver reflector camera left (ground-level).
