Shot Glass Ice Cube : Discount Christmas Mugs : Coffee Mugs Travel. Shot Glass Ice Cube
Fire & Ice This was fun to shoot Tutorial: Two sheets of slightly crinkled tin foil as a base. Suspended 1 inch above is a sheet of amber tinted stained glass. The stained glass has a ripple pattern and was placed with the ripples facing down. To the rear is a single strobe lighting a very low diffusion panel that was placed to bring out the textures better. The glass was levelled so I could add some water before I placed the candles and ice cubes. Shot with a 70 - 300 Canon zoom. Shot with a long exposure setting so I could fire off the strobe manually a few times. It took a bit of work getting the camera settings just right because the flames could easily exceeded the dynamic range. I wanted the texture light (strobe) to balance with the light from the flames just long enough to light the centre area. I shot a dozen frames and picked the best. ~~~ My friend Iris adds: you chose fire and added ice made a pic that was rather nice lighting hit all the right spots even though you took lots of shots adding ice cubes offered a chill flames provided warmth and light for this still And this from Spherical Me SOME say the world will end in fire, Some say in ice. From what I’ve tasted of desire I hold with those who favor fire. But if it had to perish twice, I think I know enough of hate To know that for destruction ice Is also great And would suffice.
