Second Cup Coffee Shop Moments (Bruce) The last time I saw Bruce, I waved at him sitting at his favourite spot on the Second Cup counter (this spot here), as I passed by on Stephen Avenue, he was a regular and loved having his coffee there, now he is one of the displaced coffee drinkers... I first met him in late-March (below, as originally posted back then) I met Bruce at the Second Cup coffee shop downtown on Saturday, a friendly man who says he often spends time there... We chatted briefly while some protesters mached down Stephen Avenue (discussed politics for a short while) before he went back to his newspaper... He allowed me to take this portrait shortly before I left the coffee shop... "Cyber cafe"? Non, c'est cafe :P
One of the most popular places where people 'hang out' are coffee shops. Many of them (starbucks, second cup) have wi-fi internet so it's common to find people using their laptops. What is not as common, are the power plugs! Usually there are only few in the cafe and there is ALWAYS heavy compeition for the seats next to them.
