TILTING CHECK VALVE - RACINE HYDRAULIC VALVES. Tilting Check Valve
AE51 RZP Bus towed after it’s stopped by police Police at the scene after they pulled over the bus on bourges boulevard on Monday. A bus driver with a coach-load of passengers was flagged down by police in Peterborough city centre on Monday (7 March) after officers noticed the vehicle was tilting to one side. Police said passengers claimed they had told the driver of the Stagecoach service they were concerned about the bus but he completed his journey from Whittlesey to Peterborough. The coach, which holds 42 people and was close to capacity during the seven mile journey, was pulled over with a broken suspension by police close to the Bourges Boulevard roundabout. PC James Styles, who stopped the vehicle just after 11am, said: “The passengers complained about the problem, but the driver said he had to complete his journey. “But if you look at the back of the bus it was quite obvious that the suspension had broken. “It will be prohibited from being driven on the road until it has been repaired and been through a thorough examination.” PC Styles added that passengers had said the bus had briefly entered a closed road and that the driver had to perform a u-turn to find a different route.” It is thought the problems may have started near road closures in Whittlesey on Woolpack Lane, for water connection works, and the A605 westbound between Whittlesey and Peterborough. A police spokeswoman said: “The driver was issued with a prohibition notice which prevented him from driving the bus until the suspension is fixed. “It will also need a full safety check before it can be used again.” The driver has been reported to courts for allegedly driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition. The driver was also questioned by Stagecoach managers. Andy Campbell, managing director of Stagecoach, said: “The driver is being interviewed by ourselves. “If a fault develops when a bus is in service there is a system in place for the driver to contact our control centre. We then get a replacement vehicle out for the passengers. “In this case, the vehicle’s levelling valve had flipped over. “The driver says he clipped a kerb, but we are not sure if that is why the problem occurred.” Mr Campbell added: “I have heard about the bus going into a road that had a diversion in place. “We were not informed about it at the beginning of the day by the council, but we have now informed our drivers about the diverted route.” Mr Campbell said that none of the passengers had contacted the company since the journey, and assured commuters of the safety of Stagecoach’s buses. He said: “There is a system we follow where each vehicle has safety checks before going on the road. “This vehicle has been recovered and we have raised the levelling valve. “We will check it thoroughly before it goes back on the road.” The vehicle was recovered by Frank Ratcliffe & Son at 12.30pm. GIST quantum meter service card
When your meter has a fault and you call for help, the engineer uses this to re-set your meter. It's also used to commission and de-commission the meter. The GIST (Generic Ironbridge Service Card) does a number of different things. It reads any tampers/faults, synchronises the internal clock, updates basic tariff information and enables faults to be re-set. Possible faults include Leaky valve tamper, reverse flow tamper, battery door tamper, tilt/vibration tamper, token hack tamper, valve open fault, valve closed fault, slot damage fault, slot short fault, repeated insertion tamper, excess new cards tamper, regional corrupt tamper, event corrupt tamper, identical new cards fault, CCF security check failed fault, failed to action command fault. The GIST has to be 'refreshed' regularly depending upon time and internal memory load. This also prevents unauthorised use in case of theft.
