Idle Air Control valve in location. This unit is driven by the ECU and in turn is dependent on what the relevant sensors are feeding the ECU. The Active Voltage is fed from the OVP. So if your OVP is faulty this may not get potential. This unit can be tested by applying 12volts to the terminals. Internally there is an motor that will turn the air blocking valve. If you apply voltage and you don't hear the solenoid operating then the unit is stuffed or blocked with gunk. Clean the Valve end out with Carby cleaner. The two large rubber vacuum hoses attached to the valve can get cracked and allow ingress of unwanted air. This can cause erratic idling.
