- Limits the flow of gas to one direction only. Use a check valve between the bubbler and generator to prevent unwanted pressure build up in the generator, and a safety against a low level bubbler. A check valve, such as used on torches, is recommended.

Sanborn air compressor: "before"
This air compressor has a leaky regulator (the round thing in the middle). Unfortunately all the plumbing is cast into the base of it, so I'm going to replace it all. The thing sticking out of the back at an angle turns out to be a check valve, so I have to replace that as well. And then I accidentally broke the pressure switch... I've ordered some parts, and I hope to have both compressors working in a week or two.
Checking Safety Device
If the piping ever clogs it can shoot up ten feet in the air to let go of extra preasure so the pipe doesn't blow apart.
