Butterfly Garden Bulletin
This week at a glance
Another awesome week in the Butterfly Garden!! This week we studied Fire Safety and what to do in case of an emergency. The kids enjoyed seeing the fire trucks come and making “fire” in our science center (hopefully it made it home OK). Please take the time to inform me by signing on the bottom of the thanksgiving feast sheet that you are able to purchase the item for our feast, if I do not hear from you, I will assume you cannot and will purchase it myself. Thanks!!
Next week
Next week we will continue our unit on Thanksgiving. Please be aware of the Gingerbread information coming home as it is time sensitive. We will be reading many factual books about this holiday and be discussing the book features in non-fiction stories. In math, we continue to work on patterning and will begin our graphing unit. The children will also be so excited to reading our class made t-pee on Monday. In our science center, we will be planting maize and observing it over the next few weeks to see if it grows.

Reminders
Don’t forget to do homework each night and to study the word lists!
Our talent show is going to be sooooo FUN!! Come and see us and enjoy! I can’t wait! Remember to bring in a pair of gently used or new crocs for children in Africa.
We are asking all parents to help assist us in developing independence for our students. Please do not walk your child down to the classroom anymore. We are asking that you remain in your car during carpool time and allow them to go through the routine on their own. We have spoken to the children about how big and responsible they are now so they do not need their parents help! Thanks so much for helping us develop.
