Hello my name is Melissa McElroy and I am your kindergarten Teacher this year!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited to be your teacher! I have been teaching for 17 years and love every day of it. I am married with two children, Brady and Riley. My son will also be going to Sycamore Creek. My husband is a police officer in Raleigh. My hobbies are taking long walks, reading, learning about new and exciting ideas for our classroom, arts and crafts, and playing with my kids.Below you will see a picture of my children.
This is Brady and Riley. They love to kid around! I am very busy because I am a teacher for teachers too! I am a Literacy Trainer for Wake County Schools (for 9 years), a Mentor Coordinator for our school, and a mentor to a new teacher. I enjoy having lots to do. In addition to being certified in elementary ed, I am special ed certified, academically gifted endorsed, and Nationally Board Certified. My next venture is to get another master's in Curriculum and Instruction or Administration.
