I didn't even notice went I went by my old workplace Monday that the sign was gone. Then I saw your website today with the pictures. I started at the York terminal in 77 and was there in 95 when closed it up as a breakbulk and they shipped the vast majority of us to Carlisle where I was at in 2002 when they closed the doors.  25 cold winters I worked for CF with a almost frostbitten face to prove it. We use to be able to guess how cold a day it was by spitting on the metal trailer floor and seeing how fast it froze  or by the ice on our beards. The old timers at the York Terminal told me when I first started there in 77 that it was a Motor Cargo Terminal with a Indian Head sign along the road in front of the office and a Motor Cargo tractor trailer sign along I83. When CF bought the place they painted the sign to look like a CF tractor trailer. The neon bulbs were taken off as they had big plans to fix the sign when it stopped working. They were put into a junk trailer with a big sign on the front not to be moved but one of the jockeys moved it anyways (couldn't read?) and broke all of the neon tubes. Many a 3rd shift night I  used to glance outside from the side of the dock and see the neon wheels turning on the sign. I hope the sign gets fixed up so I can see it again working with the neon wheels turning like they use to. I just retired from ABF with 31 years on the dock between the two companys when I could get the 30 years and age 55 deal from the Reading Teamsters Pension fund with no penalty's.  Have a good one.
