Day99: Found a photographic metaphor for my job search.
So, for those of you following me and my 365Project. I have been desperatly trying to get a full-time job for more then 2 years now. I finished grad school in May 2008 with a Masters degree in Higher Education Administration and a GPA of 3.9. Ever since, I have been applying to jobs all over the place, I've had dozens of phone interviews... and every time I think I'm getting close to geting a job, I feel like I'm running into roadblocks left and right. This week my job search has taken an Odd turn and I'm not sure what it means, but I had 2 jobs that I aplied for tell me that I made it past thier first round of applicant cuts, but I was not a final candidate yet, then they told me how many other applicants they had. This is the first time I have been told how many other applicants the jobs had, and it really sucks when they tell you there are more the 200 active applicants for a single position. I kinda wish there was some sort of a first come first serve basis for getting a job, since I have been waiting for more then 2 years now. For this picture, I was just playing with a bunch of the sliders in Aperture3 till I got an edgy look.
