Truly, this is one of the last great examples of the American Motel in the days before the cookie cutter franchises hit. Thats why these folks keep the neon lit. Everyone of them expressed the personalities of the American Individualists who caused their creation. An individualism that may soon be subsumed by other social forces into conformity. I hate to say it, but the era of the Great American Road Trip may be ending. I hope I am very wrong.
