GRADING POLICY:
DAILY GRADES: (CLASSWORK AND HOMEWORK): 50%
MAJOR GRADES: (QUIZZES, TESTS, PROJECTS) 45%
QUARTERLY EXAMS: 5%
GRADING SCALE:
90 - 100% = A
80 - 89% = B
70 - 79% = C
60 - 69% = D
59% & BELOW = F
LATE WORK:
ONE DAY LATE = 85% OF SCORE EARNED TWO DAYS LATE = 70% OF SCORE EARNED THREE DAYS LATE OR MORE = 50% OF SCORE EARNED
STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE A GRADE SUMMARY EVERY THURSDAY. THESE ARE TO BE SIGNED BY A PARENT EVERY WEEK AND RETURNED ON FRIDAY. STUDENTS HAVE UNTIL THE NEXT THURSDAY TO TURN IN LATE WORK IN ORDER TO RECEIVE CREDIT. IF I HAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS, THESE WILL ALSO BE MAILED OUT EACH THURSDAY.
ABSENCES:
When students return from being absent, they need to check the bulletin board to find out what was missed. Any assignment or activity must be made-up! For every day a student is absent, they have two days to make-up the missed work. Turn these assignments in to me and make sure you label them “Absent Work” with the date. (If you forget to label them, the work will be considered late work.) Any materials passed out while students are absent will be in a class file with students' names on them.
