| The BCHC has adopted the following projects and goals for calendar year 2009: | | | Cemetery Preservation.
Arrange for all cemeteries in Burnet County to become officially
"designated" by the Texas Historical Commission. A cemetery near
Oatmeal, called "Stringtown" is in need of immediate attention. Create
a public awareness of cemetery conditions. Project Manager: Carol

| | | | Mormon Mills. Continue to collect historical information about the Mormon Mills site. Project Manager: Madolyn Frasier | | | | | BCHC Web Page. Maintain a website to
include background historical information for the county,
accomplishments and goals of the commission, directions for attending
meetings and/or becoming a member, and links to other web sites.
Project Manager: JoAnn Myers | | | Historical Marker - Conrad Fuchs House. Continue to monitor condition and contact owners to maintain and safeguard property.

Assisting with interviewing, transcribing, and administration of the
Burnet County WWII Oral History Project. This is an on-going project
of the Burnet County Genealogical Society and the Burnet County Library
