ferry ride to beautiful Bowen Is. We walk from the Snug Cove terminal to Killarney Lake and back, then head to Dorman Point for great views of Howe Sound. Ferry costs will be approx. $15 per person. |

| 28-Jan | Sat | Cross-country skiing at Callaghan Valley (near Whistler). Callaghan is a great place near Whistler for cross-country skiing, with trails for beginners and also for those who like more of a challenge. There is also a beautiful day-lodge there, with fireplaces, where we will eat lunch (OK to bring your own, or buy there) and end the day with hot chocolate before returning to Vancouver. | 29-Jan | Sun | Hollyburn Peak snowshoe outing. This is an easy paced snowshoe trip to the top of Hollyburn. The trail is accessed from the cross country ski parking lot at Cypress Mountain. | 26-Feb | Sun | Cheakamus Canyon - hike. We start this hike in the wonderfully named "Paradise Valley" just north of Squamish. It is about 2 hours walk up the valley, which gradually changes to a canyon where the trail climbs up the side of the canyon with great views down to the valley and the railway below.
