As a member of the Club, you will also be a member of the Racine County Alliance of Snowmobile Clubs, and the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs (AWSC). The Racine County Club is your network into activities of all the snowmobile clubs in Racine County. Your affiliation on the State level will keep you informed of the legislation being considered by the State, and how your registation dollars are being used as well as abused. You will also receive the Wisconsin Snowmobile News, a great publication which gives you information about clubs, legislation, environmental updates and more!
What were snowmobile clubs formed for?To form a common bond between landowners and snowmobile enthusiasts, to help understand each others needs. Where would we as snowmobilers be without our landowners? Where would we be without a trail system? We would be out in the back yard, going round and round. Certainly we would not be able to snowmobile and enjoy our Wisconsin winters as we do now!
Membership in a snowmobile club gives you permission to ride the private trail system, as well as giving you access to the public trail system of which we are an integral part throughout the State of Wisconsin.
We work very closely with the landowners in this area to secure permission to develop, mark, maintain and keep safe the private trails, of which the use is granted only to members of a snowmobile club. This is a time consuming and expensive purpose of any snowmobile club, but it is the main reason for our existence.
We are, of course, not "all work and no play". There are fun activities for persons of all ages. During the winter we have trail rides, dinner rides, winter cookout on the trail and Club trips. We also have a summer cook out. Membership is fellowship.
Your participation as a member of a snowmobile club is important to us, as well as the FUTURE OF SNOWMOBILING in Southeast Wisconsin. We need you to help us protect snowmobiling futures for all of us. We need you as well, as well as anyone who owns a snowmobile, rides the trails, and enjoys the winter sport, to support the trails, the legislation, which affects all of us and our sport.
