Introduction: About the boat club

BIBC provides private club narrow boat and cruiser moorings and facilities for its members on Burghfield Island situated on the Kennet and Avon canal on the outskirts of

Reading in Berkshire.

The club is a non-profit making organisation, which aims to promote interest amongst boat owners, to encourage mutual self help, foster canal side activities which engender respect for all canal users, and to promote the lawful and considerate usage of the UK's Inland Waterways and Rivers.

Full Members of the Club must be over 18 years of age and owners of private pleasure craft moored at Burghfield Island. Associate Members are owners of boats not moored on the Island or those who have a general interest in the Club and its activities.
