  • Communicate with parents in your child's class
  • Coordinate classroom parties
  • Coordinate volunteers and/or donations
  • Coordinate gestures of appreciation for class teacher (and paraprofessional)
    - Christmas gift(s)
    - Teacher Appreciation Week
    - End of Year gift(s)
  • Attend (if possible) Room Parent meetings
    & PTO Planning Meetings

  • The lead room parent for your grade level

  • Your fellow room parents
  • The parents in your classroom
    REMEMBER, THIS IS NOT YOUR SOLE RESPONSIBLITY. YOU ARE THE ORGANIZER.
    You do not have to be at all events. Let other caring parents handle some events in order to become familiar with the school, teacher, students, and enjoy the fun of watching the children grow. In fact, get into the habit of looking for opportunities to enlist the other parents' help in every classroom event you coordinate.
