Mission Statement: "To protect life & property, and to serve the citizens of Walla Walla County Fire District 5 with fire, emergency medical, and other related services within budgetary limitations."
![]() "Emergency Responders are asked daily to place others before themselves! We will risk our lives for a chance to save others, but we must first provide a life safety risk assessment of each situation. With that information we can then make the best and safest decision for our personnel to proceed. We will not risk our lives to save little or nothing, and no one's life is worth property. We owe it to ourselves, our families, and each other to minimize those risks and come home after each call. Success can be measured on how well we prepare ourselves in Fire and EMS trainings, health and wellness screenings, and a personal fitness regimen. It should not be measured in promotions of individuals or call volume. We must constantly challenge ourselves to find safer ways to accomplish our goals and tasks while meeting the Fire/EMS service needs of our community. I am amazed at the commitment and dedication from the members of Walla Walla County Fire District 5 to make a difference in the lives of the citizens of our community. "
