Welcome to Bullying's Not KoolBringing Anti-Bullying Message to Students
The "Bullying's Not Kool" program was originated by the Canadian Half-Pints and is a compelling presentation package for students of all ages. It focuses on how people judge others and how to recognize and avoid bullying.
The Half-Pints are role models who emphasize the fact that we are all free to aspire to and accomplish our dreams and goals, regardless of size, gender, religious persuasion, colour or disability.
The Canadian Half-Pints have the ability, because they are small, to talk to young people about the importance of not bullying, of being tolerant and charitable. They decisively demonstrate to our young people just how they have achieved success while making valuable friendships at the same time.
These talented basketball players may be short (average height is 4'3"), but they can play! The Canadian Half-Pints have won over 3,500 games and have lost only 11.
When they appear in school, kids quickly discover they are talented even though they are short. The message is that everyone has talent to be discovered!
The "Bullying's Not Kool" presentation encourages kids to get to know others before jumping to conclusions. In most cases, the start of a valuable "new friendship" will be discovered!
The Half-Pints have made thousands of friends throughout the United States and Canada while playing in over 3,500 games over the last 18 years.
The "Bullying's Not Kool" program also conveys other powerful, lasting messages
Friendship
The rewards of making new friends, no matter how they appear.
Reach for that dream
Believe in yourself and make your dreams come true, regardless of your size or shape.
Listen and Learn
Keeping an open mind to your "coaches" (i.e. your teachers and parents) will help foster positive growth. The Canadian Half-Pints have presented the "Bullying's Not Kool" program to thousands of students in over 5000 schools over the years in Canada and the United States.
Throughout their travels, the Canadian Half-Pints have had the opportunity to tell their story. They are ordinary people with determination, big hearts and alot of talent - and are eager to share with others.
They may be physically small, but they stand tall in the minds of those they touch. That is their legacy!
When the Half-Pints leave, the students may physically look down at these talented players, but mentally they look up to them.
And, most importantly, it's the start of a new friendship!
