Exercise NORTHERN BISON 2011 Nunalla MB 19 Feb, 2011.Exercise NORTHERN BISON.FOB Nunalla – Private Devon Carson checks the toboggan for equipment. Pte Carson is with The Second Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry Combat Support Company..Exercise NORTHERN BISON 11 is the ambitious culmination of a three year process to stand-up and train an Arctic Response Company Group (ARCG) comprised of 38 Canadian Brigade Group reserve soldiers..This year is the most ambitious training plan to date. Members from the 2 PPCLI Support Company will leave Churchill, Manitoba on the 17 of February 2011 and journey to Nunalla, Manitoba. Once there, they will set up a Forward Operating Base (FOB), including a hospital. A few days later, the ARCG will head out from Churchill and join up with 2 PPCLI at FOB Nunalla. At the FOB, they will build snow shelters, conduct firing on the range and receive further geographical knowledge from both 1 and 4 Canadian Ranger Patrol Group (CRPG).
