Family Ministries

Buffalo is a church committed to the well being of the family unit. Monthly there are meetings set aside just for parents of family which mix personal Bible reflection with real life applications of the scripture and how it applies to the family unit.

God has a special plan for each and every family, a particular ministry that the family can undertake and become a blessing to the nations! Join with us and learn more about this special and wonderful mission God has in store for us.

Also, join us for our seasonal Family Retreat (**Family Retreat Brochure** ). We have a great time together, and find support in the faith and trials of one another. Won't you be a deeper part of our church family support network! We'd love to have you!

Presbyterian Women

Contact: Anne McGee     288-2399

Presbyterian Women (PW) is the national women's organization of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). With a history of more than 200 years, PW is committed to nurturing faith, supporting the church's mission, working for justice and building community. It is organized at all levels of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in congregations, presbyteries and synods as well as General Assembly

The organizational design of PW is based on the many principles. Here are a few:

The individual member is a central concern of Presbyterian Women. Alternative programming is provided to meet the needs of individuals, their interests, perspectives, and gifts. PW believes that an environment grounded in Christian beliefs promotes the full growth and expression of the individual. Such an environment renews, strengthens, and empowers the individual to participate in the life and work of the church, the servant community of Jesus Christ in the world.

In order to do God's work, we must constantly search Scripture and pray for an understanding of God's will for us and the world. PW believes that our spiritual development and growth require us to reflect on our journey of faith, keeping our hearts open to God's call to action and involvement.

As part of our tradition in the church, PW supports the mission of the church at home and worldwide. We struggle with humanity's pain and work for justice and peace for all God's people. Opportunities for supporting mission are realized through giving and service.

Presbyterian Women values the process of open communication that provides opportunities for free exchange of ideas and perspectives.

Flexibility is encouraged so that groups may determine the structure and programs most appropriate and workable in their church or area. Renewal through evaluation and goal setting will occur annually in order to adapt to changing needs. Goals and objectives will serve as means of accountability by which Presbyterian Women can determine the effectiveness of programming.

We hope you will join us for fellowship and growth together!

Presbyterian Women meet weekly through various Circle meetings. Please contact Lynn for information on becoming part of one.

In addition the PW council meets once a quarter.

We’re looking forward to hearing from you!

Men of the Church

Contact: Jim Cox     855-8472

The Mission of Presbyterian is to lead men into a vital relationship with Christ and to assist them in their spiritual, personal, and community development.

To that end we wish:

  • To lead men into a vital relationship with Jesus Christ
  • To develop their understanding of the mission of the Church
  • To assist congregations in nurturing men of the Church to mature discipleship
  • To encourage men in the church through their commitment to Christ
  • To fulfill the ministry to which men are called in their families, in their daily work, and in their ministry to other people in the community and the world
  • · To involve men of various racial/ethnic backgrounds and men of different ages

In 1895 the first mandate for a ministry with men came from the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America.

We here at Buffalo Presbyterian continue this rich heritage with a mind for the future.

We wholly believe that men have a scriptural, spiritual and holy place of leadership in today's world and in today's homes.

We explore our roles as men of the church together in order to make a better and stronger day for tomorrow—come and join us!

We meet for food, fellowship and more every month in the Fellowship Hall in the David Building. The menu rotates and there is an offering taken to cover the cost of the food.

If you are interested please contact us at the above number or at the church office.
